What is the NDIS Pricing Review? 

The Annual Pricing Review is when the NDIA looks at how much NDIS services should cost. They check things like:

• Changes in wages
• Increases in prices (inflation)
• What it costs providers to do their jobs

For NDIS participants, online therapy (also called telehealth therapy) is a flexible and accessible option that’s offering new levels of convenience.

*Multiple studies have found telehealth to be as effective as in-person services for improving speech and language skills, while also demonstrating strong outcomes in treating childhood ADHD, anxiety, and depression. 

Major changes are now in effect which change how NDIS funds will be made available in NDIS plans. 

Categories of NDIS funding will be split into instalments over the life of the NDIS plan, with a specified amount made available in "Funding Periods".

Currently the funding period for all supports is 12 months. Now that the PACE system has been updated, the NDIS is expected to change this to shorter periods.

Under Section 33 of the NDIS Act, important changes are now in effect which affect how NDIS funds will be made available to Participants in their NDIS plans. 

This will affect HOW and WHEN Providers deliver and bill for their services.

Your NDIS CORE SUPPORTS funding is put in your NDIS plan to help you work towards your long-term goals, but more importantly to help you or your child increase their independence and make your everyday life more accessible.

This is the most flexible budget because you can use your funding across any of the following 4 support categories (in most cases - unless the line item is stated/in-kind).

What is an NDIS PACE plan?

In 2023 the NDIS built a new computer system called PACE, to replace the MyPlace Portal and MyNDIS participant portal. This system was trialled in Tasmania before rolling out nationally.

New NDIS Plans and renewed NDIS Plans will be PACE plans so let's see how what they look like and how they are different from the current NDIS plans.
