Stephen Hawking passed away on 14th March 2018. He was a remarkable scientist who made a profound impact on the way we think about the universe.
He was not able to speak and was not mobile but this is not how you should remember Stephen.
At 21 Hawking was told he only had a few years to live. He was diagnosed with ALS, also called Lou Gehrig's disease, and that the outlook was grim. In January of 2018 the physicist celebrated his 76th birthday.
