Our qualified and reliable educators provide more than just vacation care they collaborate with children to ensure play, leisure and recreational activities are safe and meaningful. We place each child at the centre of our practice and build respectful and positive relationships with children, families and the community to develop connectedness, confidence and wellbeing. From 29th July to 2nd August, Autism Swim will send you 5 new key word signs each day via email. These signs are taught by legends within the Autism Swim community.
Over the 5 days, you will have learnt a total of 25 key word signs.
Because communicating through words is only one of SO MANY different ways in which we can communicate.
Your job is to practice the key word signs, and use them as many times as you can with your family members/friends/work colleagues.
You could even run a competition to see who can use them the most!

Looking to get out and have some fun over the school holidays? We’re running 2weeks of exciting programs starting from Monday, 14 April January 2025. Participants will have the option to choose from 3 sessions per day, with a wide range of activities available including science experiments, creative arts projects, life skills bootcamps, social games and more.
Our school holiday programs are designed to be fun, interactive sessions to help you make new friends and access the community over the holiday period. Each 6-hour day consists of three face-toface sessions and generally delivered in groups of up to 5 participants. Participants are welcome to attend any number of sessions over our 2-week holiday program.
All activities are held at our new Ryde hub, which includes a range of accessible facilities including tennis courts, basketball courts, parklands, gardens and much more. We offer various holiday programs including different trauma-responsive camps for children presenting with challenges associated with a trauma-response. Children will participate in a journey of connection to self, nature, culture and each other. They will explore, engage and problem solve in a beach location without technology.

The Best of Friends (BoF) program gives children the knowledge, skills, and confidence to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, show empathy for others, develop and maintain friendships and make good decisions. Royal Far West provides 4 day, 3 nights health and wellbeing camps created specifically to help families from rural and remote areas access theraputic services and help children develop important life skills. I have taught yoga in a range of settings, from early childhood centres, holiday workshops, disability classes, and most recently created specialised yoga therapy classes for Special Olympics Australia teaching yoga weekly to people who have an intellectual disability.
The results have been so profound, with significant results in participants' health, emotionally, mentally, psychically, and socially. For example, - stress and anxiety levels have decreased, calm and focus increased while also increasing confidence and building emotional resilience within participants.
Single day 3hr 'kids first' workshops for 5-12yrs, as well as school readiness workshops (age 4-5yrs) running over four days (2hr sessions). Sessions focusing on a range of skills development inc. speech, behaviour and fine motor skills development etc .

We are running a centre-based school holiday program for children with disabilities at Dundas Valley. We have nursing staff onsite and can manage children with complex medical and physical needs. We provide Community Access activities based out of our facilities at Croydon and we also run a centre based program based out of an affiliate school of ours at Campsie. National Parks NSW now provides TrailRider, an all terrain wheelchair free of charge for people of all ages wanting to experience what our national parks have to offer. Whilst the chair is free to hire, it requires two guides to operate and renters will need to bring their own guides. Please see information here.

Equine therapy sessions run through the holidays. If equine therapy is booked out, then children are still welcome to come in for an hour session of groundwork where they spend time with the horses, grooming and working with the horses in whatever capacity they feel comfortable. Our horse-riding program, at The Outlook Riding Academy, Terrigal, offers a rich learning experience with indoor and outdoor education, individual and group exercises. This is the place for experiential learning on and off the horse. The clinics vary according to the season. Social Superheroes! A school holidays social skills workshop
Dates/Times: 3-14 July 2023 | Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 10am - 12pm
Ages: 8-12 years
Disability-Focus: Autism Spectrum Disorder (Levels 1 - 2).
Duration/Location: 6 x 2-hour sessions on-site at our rooms in Newcastle.
Format: Run by our team of Psychologists, Participants learn social skills in building healthy connections in a safe and supportive environment. Our small group setting will provide plenty of opportunities for increasing self-confidence and self-esteem.
Eligibility: The workshop is open to NDIS-funded participants and private (fee-paying) clients.

Darwin Waterfront is hosting a range of events over the school holidays and Christmas period. Although not targeted at children with a disability, all events hosted are inclusive of children with disabilities and welcome their families to come down and enjoy what they have to offer.

Our aim is to assist NDIS participants with ongoing ‘Capacity Building’ focused on self-determination skills and development of independence. In short, we work with clients to achieve their specific goals & outcomes with progress reports available.
Our key staff are experienced with delivering special needs’ education and we tailor each participant’s regular visit to help them develop life-skills based around "caring" for animals. Examples include communication and practical hands-on skills like feeding animals and simple task responsibilities in a friendly, affirming, educational based environment.
The two-hour sessions are available both morning and afternoon with the standard price (GST free) per participate with one support carer included. If payment is completed by a register NDIS coordinator then an invoice can be provided (excl. GST).
In addition, a further 5% discount is offered to regular clients who book with us via email and are invoiced monthly or quarterly in advance (instead of booking online).
Participants will be moving around on the farm, so come prepared with hats, sunscreen, closed in shoes, long pants if doing horse riding and enough drinking water (as this is not provided). The farm is closed on Sundays & public holidays.

Be transported to a riot of art, history and fun as we let your imagination run wild for 43 days of creativity. Plant a crafty creation in our handmade sunflower field, graffiti a cell inside Boggo Road Gaol, flood the walls of our exhibition with your memories and help a flock of Ibises take over the city. Were even letting you draw on our walls! Autism Queensland runs both Vacation Care and School Holiday Therapy Groups during the holiday period. Programs are available to school-aged children with a diagnosis of ASD living in South East Queensland. They are delivered by members of our multidisciplinary team including teachers & teacher aides, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and psychologists.

Tea-Cup Cottage provides short and long stay respite for disabled children and adults, giving them the opportunity to play, learn and relax away from their usual routine. Care respite locations are open 24/7. We are inclusive to everyone and are happy to chat over the phone or in person with parents or carers regarding the support requirements for their young person. Our age group runs from 6-16 years and we will be running our program from Birkdale. Our program includes a variety of community based activities (local swimming pool, museum and lots more) as well as group activities in our centre (cooking, arts and crafts, treasure hunts and more) in Birkdale.
Unique spaces designed for playing, learning and relaxing, Tea-cup Cottage’s three respite care locations are Disability Approved for short to long-term stays and emergency respite.

The Autism & Social Connectionc Camps are part of the 'Mindware Psychology Adventure Program (MAP) - Helping children find their compass of life' and are designed for campers that may present with higher needs. Giving Tree is an all-inclusive holiday program for children with and without disabilities. Their goal is to promote inclusion from a young age! Giving Tree will be running an Explorers Day camp for children between the ages of 2-10. What to expect: disability and cinlusion training, opportunities to learn new skills, having a positive impact on people's lives, meet awesome likeminded people and have lots of fun! They can support children with high and low support requirements. Location TBC but will be around Caulfield, Malvern, Elsternwick, Elwood, St Kilda area.
SASI hosts two camps per year for people with higher and lower support needs -respectively. Each camp runs for three days and two nights and are usually housed in holiday homes. Most participants are aged 15 and above.
Gateways offers a wide range of fun and exciting recreation and skills development programs for children and adults with a disability. Gateways Support Services high-quality recreation and camps programs build skills while providing loads of fun for children, teenagers and adults with a disability. We have capacity for Teenagers (both in house or out in the community), and Children (both in house and in the community), in which we support a range of participants with different support levels, as well as groups for our high functioning ASD participants. Most activities take place during the day, but we also get out and have some awesome outings at night.
The Autism Alliance offers School Holiday Programs throughout the year. The programs are offered in blocks of three hours or seven hours giving the Parents/Carers the opportunity for a well-earned rest or catch up time. We often open on public holidays with the aim to give parents/carers the opportunity to relax and appreciate the occasion. The children enjoy the opportunity to interact with their peers, and laugh and play. We encourage every child to participate in activities, although they do have the option not to. We try to accommodate the needs of a variety of disabilities and conditions, catering to all children, and are not limited to a diagnosis of autism.
Fully supported weekends away. Hiking in the beautiful Grampians, helping the group learn about budgeting and paying for food, preparing and creating all meals, completing activities of daily living with support that promotes independence and have a fun, social and relaxing experience.

Our holiday program offers a range of activities in a natural social environment where participants have the opportunity to meet like-minded peers and have some new fun experiences along the way.

School holiday program: food group and social groups
Our school holiday programs are for young carers with family members having mental health challenges only, (incl. caring for someone with Autism). We are unable to offer the programme to children with a disability except for mild Autism and developmental delays that require no assistance in a group setting. Our age range is from 8-15 years of age and will depend on an eligibility intake to assess their suitability for the workshop.
Apex offer's a School Holiday Program at their Sunshine Coast campus. Your child will enjoy a range of activities with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea included. Drop off at 8:15am and pick up at 3:15pm. Late pickup is also availabl Kite Building and Circus Skills activity after hours.
Activity schedule will not be released prior, however there will be a ropes activity included each day, combined with two of the following: Fishing, Beach Games, Radio Rogaine, Catapults and more!

We then add amazing kids together with our team for a super fun adventure and the energy just surges like a volcano! We offer Junior and Senior holiday programs. The Junior program is a great opportunity for them to learn how to build resilience, independence, and a sense of self-awareness through adventure play. The Senior progam aims to builds strength in teamwork and resilience, and teaches children how to thoughtfully get in touch with nature while challenging themselves. Activities include expeditions, mountain biking, water sports, and youth leadership.
We also have a customised therapeutic camp for ages 7-13. The Therapeutic Camp is a program which helps children find their compass of life' and is designed for junior campers that may present with higher needs. The camp aims to build self-confidence, resilience and independence in a group setting through graduated outdoor activities. Participants challenge themselves daily with therapy supports on hand to support their growth. We also have a summer senior Autism & Social Connections Camp.
Cara has South Australias only camps program for campers with complex disabilities. Activities on camp are accessible and developmentally-appropriate and campers are encouraged to experience as many activities as possible, however, participation is always the choice of the camper.
Our school holiday activities are designed so children and families can access a wide range of fun and inclusive activities right across Melbourne. Our program is divided into small groups suitable for children aged 4 to15 years with varying levels of disabilitys adventure program is a person cantered, evidence-based, approach. Our program is a fun and inclusive way to address challenges in emotional regulations, social interaction, communication skills, gross and fine motor skills, and healthy eating habits for kids. For the first time CQCS is partnering with Behaviours Understood to also provide a 5-day social skills program. This evidence-based approach will teach children social skills through play, music, stories, and craft to assist children with disabilities to navigate our social world.

The Disability Trust is currently running different Vacation Care programs throughout the NSW and the ACT. Participants attending Vacation Care do a combination of centre based activities and excursions. We run Vacation Care programs for children with disabilities every school holidays.
We support all abilities and participants have the option of purchasing 1:1 support or 1:3 support. We run groups for 6 to 11 year olds as well as groups for 12 to 18 year olds. Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA Inc (ERCKWA) is a non-profit community based organisation that serves the needs of children aged 716 and their families. A typical Mega Camp involves small group games, crafts, sports, word games, a skit night or even a disco or our infamous jelly games. Multi-choice times allow kids to pick up the football, try their hand at finger-knitting or whatever else they prefer. Theres never a dull moment on an Eddie Rice program!
