Our organization has been supporting individuals with disability to lead independent lives engage with widest community and at the same time realize all their goals. Delivering support services that enable you to live an independent life may be our job but helping you to get the best quality life is our ultimate passion. Being an NDIS provider of disability support services, we help clients, families, and caregivers throughout the Victoria region.

 

Our Services

Community Access Support

  • Social interaction and engaging with the community 
  • Those with disabilities and mental illnesses are at higher risk of isolation,  increase community participation. 
  • Assistance with social, economic and community.
  • Support Workers work collaboratively with clients and their support network to better understand their already stated NDIS goals which feature prominently on NDIS plans.  
  • Increasing social engagement through finding new hobbies, interests, support networks, employment and or volunteering opportunities. 
  • Community access activities can include everyday essentials such as grocery shopping and attending appointments, but can also include fun activities such as going to concerts and sporting events. 
  • By increasing social participation, we decrease isolation and loneliness and build their independence to live a life of fulfilment, which is what it’s all about.” 
  • Participants with mental illnesses or disabilities, is growing the confidence and independence to engage in the community of their choice. 
  • Communication, mobility, and independence is taken into account. 
  • Transport in the Community

 

Development of Life Skills

  • Existing skills are promoted by motivating staff working with clients to design routines that allow their particular skillset to be used regularly.
  • We utilize a multidisciplinary team to document and track the achievement of client goals.
  • Whether taking part in daily life in the home, personal ambitions or exploring meaningful hobbies, the practice and improving of individuals skills are important in generating a sense of pride and belonging in their communities.

 

In-home support / Personal Care

Our trained staff can help you learn the skills you need for a variety of day-to-day activities from the comfort of your home. Accessibility Care can also provide this support to people with complex needs, provided it has been approved for this service. Personal activities can be:

  • Bathing or Showering
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Personal hygiene
  • Toileting
  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Support with eating
  • Walking around the house

 

Household tasks

To maintain an individual’s well-being, a clean, well-organized home is a must. Our dedicated team can help you with housework if you have challenges keeping your home in good shape:

  • Cleaning
  • Laundry
  • Shopping
  • Dishwashing
  • Spring cleaning
  • House maintenance 
  • Preparing meals for you to cook

Some of the specific household tasks that our support workers perform include:

  • Cleaning stovetops
  • Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Kitchen cleaning including sinks, taps, benches, microwaves
  • Bathrooms including toilets, showers, and baths
  • Wiping down benchtops and inside fridges
  • Vacuuming or mopping floors
  • Dusting
  • Dishwashing
  • Changing bed linen
  • Clothes washing and drying
  • Essential ironing
  • Trips of the client on medical appointment; and
  • Grocery shopping

We also help in outdoor household tasks like

  • Gardening
  • Backyard cleaning
  • Grocery shopping
  • Garbage disposal
