What we do
Founded in 2013, The Tippy Toe Co is a ballet and tap school for young people with special needs. The class sizes are kept small, from 6 to 8 students per class, to ensure each dancer has individual attention as well as a warm group environment.
Our vision is to develop and facilitate activities that emphasise fun and inclusiveness and meet the physical and social needs of each of our students. Our trained and experienced instructors & assistants inspire and teach in magical ways. The program is carefully designed and regularly fine-tuned to fit individual and class requirements. We focus on encouraging motor-active skills, stamina, concentration, musical awareness, expression and creativity. As the term progresses you can expect to see your child articulate parts of the body, demonstrate ballet/tap positions and coordination, link musicality and movement and perform a short ballet routine.
Classes are held on Saturday mornings in Paddington and Saturday afternoons in Sherwood. See website for specific class times. Each class goes for 45 minutes. We ask that you please arrive 5 minutes before your allocated class time. We allocate classes after we have spoken to you and understood your child's needs.
Trial Policy & Pricing
Our trial policy is that you can try a class and if it doesn't suit your circumstances then there is no cost. If you decide after the trial class to continue, you will receive an invoice which includes the cost of the trial class. Term invoices are expected to be paid within a fortnight of receiving them, and a late fee of $5 may apply. Each term is priced upon the number of weeks in that term and it roughly works out at just over $20 per class. Please note that those facing financial hardship may be eligible for Get Started Vouchers or may be able to receive support from one of our partner charities, please inform us if you wish to apply.
