The Social Space for diverse thinkers is a psychology practice that opened in February 2019 (former Social Detectives). The Social Space provides a safe and inclusive space where children, teens and young adults, with a unique perspective of the world, can immerse themselves in all things social including evidence-based social skills programs , bootcamps/workshops, fun social groups and one to one support. Our services aim to nurture developmental, learning, emotional and social competencies for individuals with social and emotional challenges. By teaching these skills in a fun and engaging way, and through different learning modalities, we can help improve social acceptance and emotional regulation, which contributes significantly to self-confidence, positive well-being and overall quality of life.
Our evidence based social skills programs are run by psychologists with specialised training in best practice delivery of these programs. There is continuity in each of our social skills programs across the lifespan so that individuals can continue to up skill as they move through different stages of their life, from childhood to adolescence to adult hood.
We are an all-inclusive space supporting individuals with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, social isolation and anyone else that would like to be a part of our social space.
