Since 1952, Sunnyfield has grown in-depth and breadth of support services.

Working together with families, friends and dedicated staff, Sunnyfield supports a brighter future for people with disability.

Sunnyfield is a registered NDIS provider. Guided by our values of respect, trust, honesty and innovation, it’s our mission to enrich the lives of people with disability through person-centred active support that creates choice, opportunities and skills for life.

Day to day, we deliver nearly 2,000 support services for people with disability, including children, teenagers, adults and seniors. Sunnyfield employs over 1,200 staff in NSW and the ACT, to deliver accommodation services, assistance with daily life, social and community participation, supported employment, skills development and support coordination.

We provide:

  • Support Workers (Community Access 1:1 Support is available in the following regions **Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter/New England, Tweed Heads and the ACT**)
  • Accommodation Services - SDA, SIL and Respite
  • Social and Community Services – day programs, kids, teens and adult social groups, community access, school holiday and after school care programs and Skills for Life
  • Support Coordination (Available across Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter and New England)
  • Employment Services (Available in Mount Druitt and Allambie Heights)
  • School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) (Available in Mount Druitt, Guildford, Toronto and Allambie Heights)

Supported Independent Living     SIL

Are you looking for a place to call home?

Sunnyfield provides Supported Independent Living solutions for people with disability who would like to live in a shared home environment with residents who share similar interests, hobbies and support needs.

Short and medium term accommodation (Respite)

Sunnyfield’s short and medium term accommodation services cater for people with disability of all ages. Supports are delivered by qualified and friendly staff, providing a range of activities in a safe and fun environment for people with disability to enjoy their "out of home" break.

Specialist Disability Accommodation     SDA

Sunnyfield, in partnership with Edenbridge Property, is developing innovative Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes in Sydney, greater NSW and Canberra. The first new homes being built in Maroubra and Concord will be completed by mid-2021 and are specially designed to suit the needs of people with very high support needs who meet SDA eligibility criteria.

The new homes are architecturally designed and custom-built, with benefits of privacy, social inclusion, and on-site support. The homes will feature a range of living options, including shared living and private one-bedroom villas. Residents will be able to provide input into the personal design elements of their new homes.

Community Hubs 18+

Get out and about! Sunnyfield’s Community Services Hubs offer a range of group-based programs so you can try new things, learn additional skills, meet new friends and get involved in your community. We offer tailored multi-lingual supports, skills for life and capacity building programs.

School Holidays

You don’t need to go away to have a great holiday during the school break. Hotshots has everything you need to have loads of fun close to home with all sorts of super cool activities for children aged 7 – 12 and young people aged 13 – 17.

After School Care

We also deliver After School Care programs in Allambie Heights, New England and Tweed Heads, Monday – Friday during school terms.

Supported Play

There’s something about childhood friends that you just can’t replace. Sunnyfield is creating an opportunity for children with disability to meet new friends through Supported Play. This programs runs every 2nd Saturday, our Kemps Creek and Guildford Hubs will open the doors for kids to use our facilities and socialise with others from their community, whilst providing parents and carers a safe place to bring their kids.

Teens

Our social groups and school holiday programs are designed for people with disability aged 13 – 17 and jam-packed with loads of super cool activities, so you can go places, make new friends and get active.

Adults 18+

Our social groups for 18+ offer a range of healthy, active and adventurous activities to do and see. Expand social networks, try new things and get your kicks after six with a Sunnyfield social group.

Support Coordination

Sunnyfield’s Support Coordination team works in consultation with participants to optimise the usage of their NDIS funds by advising them about the flexibility within their plans and by connecting them to a range of service providers based on individual needs and goals.

Not every participant is eligible for Support Coordination, but participants can ask for it in their NDIS planning meetings.

Student and School Leaver Employment Supports help young people prepare, look for and gain meaningful employment. Whether you’ve left school or a student in Year 10, 11 and 12 looking to gain work experience, our programs are designed to support people with disability aged 16+ to build skills and independence on their journey to employment.

Kingfisher House – Maroubra, NSW, 2035

SDA Category – Improved liveability to high physical support

Set in the heart of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, you’ll be living only a few minutes to the famous Maroubra Beach. This brand new, purpose built, fully accessible home is close to shops, cafes, parks and sporting fields, providing plenty of opportunity to access the community with ease. As this is a social household, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your communication and social skills, connecting with likeminded people. Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, residents have freedom and control over their environment with peace-of-mind knowing that assistance is always available.

Kingfisher House currently has 2 male residents, aged 25 to 39. The housemates love to cook and garden, spending most sunny afternoons pottering around the garden tending to the plants. In the evenings they like to take part in the at-home cooking program, learning to cook different types of dishes and meal prep. When they’re not cooking or gardening, you’ll find the housemates shooting hoops or attending day program at their local Community Hub.

Kelburn house – Banora Point, NSW, 2486

With a single storey layout, this home is suitable for someone with limited mobility and is supported for residents with high needs. The household focuses on independent living and communication skills, so you’ll have the opportunity to build your social skills and connect with like-minded people. Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, residents have freedom and control over their environment with peace of mind knowing that assistance is always available.

Kelburn House currently has 2 male residents and is looking for another male resident aged 25 – 50 years old. The current housemates love the outdoors, frequenting the local beach and walking trails. They are big fans of live music and on weekends they like to spend time with family or participating in the local community.

This household focuses on maximising your independence through capacity-building routines, encouraging all participants to take part in the home upkeep and daily responsibilities. Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, residents have freedom and control over their environment with peace-of-mind knowing that assistance is always available.

Gardenia House currently has four residents, aged over 55. Two residents attend day program and work during the week, while the other two enjoy a retired life at home. Living on the Central Coast means these housemates love a trip to the beach for a swim when the sun is shining. During their downtime, some residents like to knit or crochet. Completing tasks independently is important to the residents, with one who has mastered the art of laundry.

Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, residents have freedom and control over their environment with peace-of-mind knowing that assistance is always available.

Garden Grove House currently has 4 residents, aged over 55. All housemates pitch in, sharing the household chores creating a harmonious daily lifestyle. You’ll each take turn in feeding and caring for the chickens. On weekends, the housemates love to entertain using the outdoor entertaining area for BBQ lunches with family and friends.

As this is a social household, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your communication and social skills, connecting with like-minded people.

Blue House currently has 3 male residents, aged 25 to 45 with great sense of humours. All housemates pitch in, sharing the household chores creating a harmonious daily lifestyle. They’re a social crew who love to entertain, using the outdoor BBQ area for weekend lunches with family and friends. They also love to keep fit, taking up any opportunity of physical activities.

As this is a social household, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your communication and social skills, connecting with like-minded people. Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, residents have freedom and control over their environment with peace of mind knowing that assistance is always available.
  • Orana House currently has 4 residents, aged 25 to 55. The housemates like to keep active with local employment, social clubs, bowling and swimming. Collectively they all work towards furthering their independent living skills, focusing on communication, paid employment opportunities, healthy diets, fitness and community participation where possible.

This house is suited for those that have full mobility due to its two-storey layout and is supported for residents with high needs. With separate living, dining and outdoor common areas, you’ll have a nice balance of socialising with your housemates and taking some time to yourself if you feel the need. Freshly renovated with modern decor, Apache house has a warm welcoming vibe, while giving you complete design over your room to make it your own. Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, you’ll have freedom and control over your environment with peace-of-mind knowing that assistance is always available.

Apache House currently has 2 male and 1 female residents, aged 25 to 35. Walks along the beach are a favourite group activity amongst the housemates, and with the many Northern Beaches on your footsteps, there is plenty to explore. Back in the home, the food network is popular. Housemates love to learn new recipes and culinary skills to practice when making dinner.

Hillebrand House – Page, ACT, 2615 – two vacancies

This newly built accessible home is well suited for someone with limited mobility and is supported for residents with high needs. With a large living and dining room, second separate living space, garden and outdoor common areas, you’ll have a nice balance of socialising with your housemates and taking some time to yourself if you feel the need. Supported 24/7 by Sunnyfield staff, you’ll have freedom and control over your environment with peace-of-mind knowing that assistance is always available.

The House currently has 2 female residents, aged 40 to 55. The housemates are a peaceful bunch preferring to keep a home that is tranquil and calm to escape the busy outside world. Both housemates love arts and crafts, creating beautiful pieces of work in their spare time. On weekends they love going to the movies or eating lunch out at their favourite café.
