Who is Fighting Chance?

Fighting Chance builds social businesses to create a truly inclusive economy where people with disability have unbridled access to opportunity, dignity and prosperity. Founded in 2011 by Laura and Jordan O'Reilly, Fighting Chance is inspired by the experience of their brother, Shane, who was let down by a society that defined him by his disability.

We identify challenges that people with disability face in their everyday lives and build sustainable businesses to bridge these gaps. We are redesigning what participation in the economy, and society, can look like so that disability is not a barrier.

Fighting Chance provides jobs,learning and social participation opportunities to people with disabilities. As a Registered NDIS Provider, we base support charges on the NDIS Price Guide, and the individual support that you need. If you would like to discuss accessing supports at Fighting Chance using your NDIS funding, we will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your individual support needs and goals, and generate a schedule of supports together.

Are you looking for a Purposeful Day Program  ?

Avenue is a Co-working Space    If you are looking for an alternative to recreational day programs, where you can learn and build skills within a real business, then AVENUE  is for you.

Avenue is a day program alternative where people of all abilities are supported to complete work tasks, socialise and develop their individual skills, regardless of their support needs

Are you looking for Work Experience ?

Our work experience program can help you take that first step on the pathway to a job. You can learn a range of skills within a real business, as well as have access to our Learning Programs in social skills, workplace etiquette and job readiness.

Jigsaw, for School Leavers. The program usually takes people on for two years, immediately after leaving school.

Make your own way, with Base Housing Collective: a new player reimagining supported independent living, empowered by Fighting Chance.

To sleep in, rise and shine with the sun, invite your mates over, or head out for a bite. Staff and housemates feel like family. Connection to community and transparency are key.  Because everyone 

has the right to live a life of their own choosing —   Free  free from outdated rules and prejudices — our homes are designed to put people living with a disability at the centre of decision making, providing them with the foundations and support they need to make their own future.
