Obol Care
Founded and led by Benjamin Kirsteuer, an autistic professional with more than 25 years of professional experience supporting people with disability, Obol Care is a registered NDIS provider delivering personalised and relationship-focused supports throughout Ballarat and surrounding communities.
Benjamin’s background spans disability support, advocacy, leadership and community services. Combined with his lived experience of autism, this provides a unique understanding of the challenges many participants and families face and the importance of being genuinely heard, respected and understood.
Obol Care’s team brings together more than 100 years of combined experience across disability support, community services and aged care. This depth of experience allows us to provide high-quality supports that are tailored to each person’s goals, strengths and individual circumstances.
We understand that many participants and families have experienced large providers where they feel like just another name on a roster. At Obol Care, we take a different approach. We prioritise genuine relationships, consistency and trust because we believe the best support begins with understanding.
As a neurodiversity-affirming provider, we recognise that every person experiences the world differently. We focus on strengths, individual preferences and meaningful outcomes rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach.
Obol Care takes its name from the Hungarian word Öböl, meaning Bay – a safe and welcoming place where people can connect, grow and feel supported. This reflects our belief that every person deserves to feel valued, respected and included within their community.
- Our team has dedicated our lives since 1998 to support people with disability.
- Our team has over 100 years of experience between us in supporting and advocating for people with disability.
