Sutherland Home Care PTY LTD

Our Services:

About us

Home Caring Sutherland’s care team is led by Harry Sigdel, a disability and aged care professional with years of experience providing services in the community. After leaving behind a career in retail management, Harry worked as a support worker, helping people in the community live independently in their own homes. Driven by a passion for supporting others with excellent care, Hari continued his career in the care industry by becoming a NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, and gaining specialised skills to support people with mental health issues, dementia and other complex care needs.

Harry has worked with a range of clients, from basic care to more complex needs. He is well-versed at managing a multidisciplinary team to achieve great outcomes. Harry loves seeing smiles on his client’s faces, and knowing they are enjoying a happy, healthy life.

Providing expert care services isn’t about ticking tasks off a list. It’s about understanding who you are, and supporting you in a way that makes a genuine difference to your everyday activities.

We also provide compassionate care that treats you as a valued person. Our care workers take the time to get to know you, understand who you are, and provide services that are the right fit for you. We also love spending time with people, and building a positive relationship with our clients while walking alongside them in their care journey.

Some examples of NDIS community participation activities and supports are:

  • Respite Care

Respite is when someone else takes care of the person you support for a period time, so you can have some time out from your caring role. It can be for a couple of hours a week, overnight, or spending time away for a whole week. Respite is a great opportunity to rest or have time for other responsibilities, knowing the person you care for is in good hands. It also makes you a better carer, as you can look after your own needs before continuing to provide ongoing care.

Our respite services

As registered NDIS and Home Care Package providers, we offer:

  • Compassionate respite care for seniors, at home and out in the community

  • Specialised support for people with complex health conditions

  • NDIS short term accommodation and respite for a change of scenery

  • A flexible service that works around your family’s schedule

  • Personalised support that is tailored to each person’s unique needs

  • A highly qualified and experienced team, dedicated to providing a great experience

  • Programs, community outings and fun activities that are engaging and richly rewarding

  • Multicultural and bilingual staff that can cater for different cultural needs

Based in locations all around Australia, we have local teams that deliver individualised respite support, both at home and in the community.

  • Accommodation

Short Term Accommodation and Medium Term Accommodation
Sometimes the unexpected happens. You face a sudden change in your circumstance; a crisis occurs; you come down with a serious illness that requires hospitalisation; your carer needs respite or is temporarily unable to look after you. During those times, it is important to have access to safe accommodation where you receive the care you need.

Domestic Assistance

Having a clean and safe home is an important part of happy, healthy living. But as we all know, this involves daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, preparing meals, and washing the dishes. If you have a disability, you may need some support to do these important tasks each day.

Home Caring’s experienced support workers can support you with daily chores and household tasks, so your home is a safe and pleasant place to be. We’ll be by your side offering encouragement and assistance, so you can live as independently as possible.

As registered NDIS providers, Home Caring’s qualified teams will support you with domestic chores according to your individual needs – whether that means providing supervision as you complete tasks independently, teaching you how to do certain things, providing physical assistance when required, or helping you gain the practice you need to do a task well.

We care about how we offer support. Our supportive and friendly team will get to know you and empower you to take care of your home, giving you a sense of achievement as you enjoy a healthy, happy and dignified life. We also provide support with plenty of compassion, taking the time to explain how things work, teach you everyday skills, or simply encourage you as you try something new for yourself.

  • Disability care

Disabled people are often spoken about as though they form one group. However, every disabled person has different health conditions and challenges. This is something we recognise here at Home Caring, providing personalised care for disabled adults. We make sure that you receive the care you need so that you can live a happy and comfortable life. We never provide a one-size-fits-all solution.

  • 24 Hour Home Care

Deciding whether to place your loved one in an aged care home – or whether to move into one yourself, as you age – can be a difficult decision to make. While most people prefer to stay in their own home where everything is familiar, it can be difficult to manage if you have complex care needs that require constant attention.

This is where 24 hour home care can help. Twenty-four hour care is when you or your loved one experiences around the clock care for a 24 hour period while living at home, through a team of nurses and care workers.

This allows you to stay at home in a familiar place and remain close to your local community. It also removes the emotional strain of moving to an aged care home. Your family can have peace of mind knowing you are safe and well cared for, while you enjoy quality of life.

  • Personal Care

Having personal care from our in-home personal carers will make all the difference to your daily routine. As personal care is individual to each and every one of us, we need to know that we are in good hands. Our personal care services are respectful, gentle, and will work with you to maintain your dignity. The services are carried out in privacy, with a great degree of comfort, and can be part of a wider package, or they can be an individual service to suit your needs.
