Speech Therapy

Let us help you find your voice. Our Speech Pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, intervention and treatment for adults and children with communication disabilities. Our speech therapists can help adults and children with difficulties or impairments with:

  • Speaking - the articulation of sounds and words
  • Fluency - speaking smoothly without stuttering
  • Using Voice - being clear and projecting sound
  • Expressive Language - use of tone and language to say what you mean to say
  • Listening and Reception - understanding language and what is being said
  • Literacy - being able to read and write
  • Social Communication and Skills - being appropriate in what you say
  • Swallowing - being able to eat and drink comfortably

Behaviour Therapy

Our Psychologists can assist you in understanding emotional and/or behavioural challenges and moving towards positive changes.

We tailor treatments specifically to the individual’s presentation and needs across life span. At Daar, our Psychologists sees children, adolescences, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. Working with children also involves working with parents, teachers, or other health professionals to better understand and deliver strategies to support their learning, emotional development, and or behavioural concerns.

Exercise physiology

Clinical interventions are exercise-based and include health and physical activity education, advice and support and lifestyle modification with a strong focus on achieving behavioural change. AEPs offer a range of services which include:

  • Prescription of tailored exercise programs
  • Gym exercise sessions
  • Group exercise sessions
  • Home-based exercise programs
  • Weight management programs
  • Education regarding pain management
  • Management of co-morbidities
  • Behavioural coaching and advice on lifestyle modification to improve health status

 

Support Coordination    Lvl 3

Daar’s NDIS Support Coordination team will work with you and help to:

  • Understand and get the most value out of your NDIS plan and funded supports.
  • Identify, connect, and coordinate with providers or services in your community that best meet your needs and goals.
  • Develop service agreements with service providers.
  • Negotiate with providers about their supports and services, costs, and address any points of conflict.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and solutions throughout your NDIS journey.
  • Participant in NDIS plan reviews with stakeholders such as LACs, Planner, and other therapy providers.
  • Monitor your supports, progress, and outcomes, and provide reports back to the NDIA.
  • Plan and prepare for your annual NDIS plan reviews
