At Headquarters (Activity Centre)

For more program information go to our Social Activities Section below.

We deliver individual and group programs that are tailored for people with disabilities so they can enjoy inclusive and fun activities. As a standard, we place an emphasis on everyday life skills so that our participants can build on their confidence and social skills.

Our programs vary based on participant interest to keep things interesting. We also love trying out something new so if there’s a particular activity that catches your fancy, don’t hesitate to let us know! You can do things like:

  • Learn new IT skills
  • Play games in our games room…challenge a friend to a game of air hockey or a game of basket ball
  • Relax in our quiet room or sensory room
  • Attend to our farm yard where we plant and grow our own veggies and meet our resident chickens who give us our natural supply of fresh eggs.
  • Enjoy fun in‐house activities
  • Do you like Remote Controls Cars?  Would you like to build your own?  Would you like to race it?  Then come and join our RC program and blow this goal out of the water!
  • Join in our “Big Day’s Out where our participants enjoy exploring places around Sydney and going for picnics and BBQs.

Live & Learn Race Car

Yes, that’s right!  We have our very own V8 Race Car.  We regularly hold events such as Race Days and Ride Days where our participants can have the opportunity to strap themselves in and race around the track at Sydney Motorsport Park.  We can go as fast or slow as you like! We have several participants who attend our Headquarters who are race car lovers and thoroughly enjoy this experience and look forward to every event. On occasion, we may attend the track at Goulburn and our participants join in the fun as a weekend STA where they get to travel to Goulburn, stay in a hotel, watch and/or participate in the race, have dinner together and build long lasting friendships and relationships.

I am a plan manager to several participants who use the services of the Live and Learn Group.

These participants have used the services for well over twelve months and keep coming back to Live and Learn because they are in a caring and responsible environment and are having their NDIS goals achieved with the assistance of well trained and empathetic staff.

I have found there is a higher level of understanding of participant’s welfare from this organisation than any others I have experience with, from the top management through to the on the ground staff, everyone is aware of issues, special considerations and needs.  There is a culture of clear communication and professionalism at Live and Learn of which they should be very proud.'

My son loves going to Live and Learn.  He gets himself ready and packs his bag.

They do all sorts of fun and varied activities out and about in the community.  He goes out at least 3 times a week and the outings are fun and educational.  Outings include the zoo, markets, bowling, arcade games and many more.  You get a monthly calendar of what is coming up which is great because I know what he is doing and where he is going.

They also do in‐house activities like arts, craŌs and cooking just to name a few.  They have resident chickens that the participants get to look after and feed and also collect the eggs to use in cooking class.

As a parent I love that my son is happy to go and he is encouraged to join in.  If he doesn’t want to join in that is ok too. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Live and Learn.

I highly recommend Live and Learn, you won’t be disappointed.
