What we do

The Housing Hub

The Housing Hub is an innovation created by the Summer Foundation. It is a new way for people with disability to find suitable housing.

The Housing Hub advertises vacancies for apartments and houses that are owned by housing providers (including developers of Specialist Disability Accommodation) in New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and the ACT.

The hub is also resource-rich with toolkits, guides and links to other sites with useful information for NDIS participants.

NOTE SYDNEY: can do SDA for anyone eligible. For all other locations, person must be in a wheelchair.

The Summer Foundation

The Summer Foundation’s aim is to resolve the issue of young people living in aged care.

One of the reasons many young people with disability live in aged care is because there is nowhere else for them to live.

Like everyone else, young people with disability should have the right to choose where they live and who they live with.

They deserve to be properly supported to make these choices.

How we can help!

Are you looking for a new place to call home?

Head to the Housing Hub website (www.housinghub.org.au) to search for the home that's just right for you.

Interested in Specalist Disability Accommodation?

We’d like to introduce you to the Tenancy Matching Service, a dedicated team of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) experts within the Summer Foundation who can work with NDIS participants to find their beautiful new SDA home.

The Tenancy Matching Service is working with SDA Housing Providers on some exciting housing opportunities that are currently open for application across Australia.

All of the properties are for NDIS participants who either already have SDA funding in their NDIS plan, or, who are ‘likely’ to receive SDA funding in their plans.

To understand more about who is ‘likely’ to be funded for SDA, or to enquire about these amazing new homes, you can contact our team of experts for a discussion.  Our team can support you to;

  • Understand what one of these great new homes will be like and show you a virtual tour;
  • Support you through an application process and;
  • Assist you to understand SDA funding

Our team is hosting a number of information sessions regarding these opportunities!  You can register for any of these free online sessions through our Eventbrite page.

For more information check the listings on the Housing Hub, or phone 1300 61 64 63 or email housingoptions@housinghub.org.au

Our team would love to talk with you!
