What we do
At Farris Care we excel in 5 key ares of service:
Community Nursing and Personal Care
Our highly qualified, skilled and experienced personal care team members will provide you with personal care, helping and supporting you to perform daily living activities.
Our qualified nurses provide specialist care for participants who have high care needs requiring a high level of skill. This may include administering medication, diabetes injections, managing PEG feeding tubes etc. We can also train support workers to respond to a participant’s complex needs.
Assistance with Daily Living
We can help you with a variety of household and garden chores.
Our staff can also help build capacity and independence by assisting you in food preparation. We will help you:
- Choose your menu
- Shop for the food you need, either in-store or online
- Prepare and cook the meals you love – or assist you to cook the meals you choose.
- You can be involved as much or as little as you like, and choose how often.
We offer a mobile psychologist and physiotherapist therapy service.
If you need to get out and about, we can help you attend social outings or therapy appointments and can accompany you as a support worker.
Respite (High Care)
The NDIA recognises that sustaining the informal support of family or carers is very important to meet the needs of people with a disability and maintaining close supportive relationships. Respite can provide increased independence from informal carers, access to the community, life skills and learning, a break from routine and a way to make new friends. Farris Care offer short term, in-home respite or overnight respite with high care.
