THERAPY ASSISTANTS  provide participant’s with:

  • Implementing therapy sessions prescribed by qualified therapists designed to address functional decline and increase independence and quality of life. 
  • Completing progress notes/documentation.
  • Developing client resources.
  • Liaising with other professionals.
  • Work independently and alongside senior therapists.

 

 

POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

Behaviour support strategies begin with a functional assessment and then work with you, your family and or support team to develop a behaviour support plan. The behaviour support practitioner can also train your support team to implement the behaviour support plan and review the plans as your needs change.

SPEECH THERAPY

AHP’s speech therapists provide participant’s with:

PSYCHOLOGY

AHP value holistic approach to participant’s care, therefore they communicate with participant’s support network including engaged Allied Health Providers. This approach ensures that all the participant’s needs are appropriately addressed, and the participant is well supported.

AHP’s Psychologists provide participant’s with:

  • Comprehensive psychological assessment to identify participant’s specific needs
  • Ongoing psychological treatment to address participant’s mental health and behavioural concerns.
  • General mental health assessment and diagnosis (Anxiety, Depression, PTSD)
  • Cognitive assessments and diagnosis

DIETETICS

Our dieticians assist people of all ages to achieve their nutrition goals with a range of assessments and services including:

  • Empowering disabled children and adults with the knowledge they need to better manage their health
  • Nutrition education on planning and preparation of appetising and nutritious meals
  • Practical resources and methods to assist with eating, feeding and cooking
  • Nutrition education and guidance around treating a range of health conditions
  • Creating enjoyable meals while working around allergies and intolerances
  • Managing appetite and weight loss
  • Guidance on fixing suitable meals including how to choose suitable foods from vendors

 

PODIATRY

Our podiatric services and assessments include:

  • Treatment plans for pathological nails of participants who are at high risk of developing complications if left untreated
  • Recommendation of preformed or customised orthoses (insoles)
  • Specialist footwear advice, assessment, and recommendations
  • Assessment of neurological and vascular conditions
  • Biomechanical assessment for paediatric and adult participants including gait analysis, joint and muscle testing

 

EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY

AHP’s exercise physiologists assist participant’s with:

  • Exercise programs
  • Improve mental health
  • Falls prevention
  • Weight management
  • Sleep quality
  • improve cardiovascular function, body composition, and flexibility.

 

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Our physiotherapy advice and assessment services include:

Strength and mobility support and assessment
