What we do
Allevia Limited was started in 1989 by a group of parents to create a childcare service for children with a disability. In 2019 we will celebrate 30 years of serving the community.
The Allevia of today has grown to support over 150 people from all age groups and to provide a range of services across a person’s life. Our services now extend beyond the Bankstown LGA, and we are actively serving the people of the South Western Sydney region.
We are a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Provider, providing NDIS approved supports. The supports include independent supported living, social, community and civic participation, improved relationships, and support coordination. Allevia is continually evolving as the NDIS matures and grows into the biggest and most important social policy change in Australia’s modern history.
We strive to be the key that unlocks personal transformation, and our mission is to listen, find and share pathways with people in our community that fulfill their needs, wants, and dreams.
We employ over 100 staff and this number is growing as we endeavour to meet the growing demand for support from NDIS Participants and their families.
Our commitment is to work with the people we support to ensure that the NDIS experience is positive and that everyone realises their dreams and aspirations living in a community where they are included, active, and valued. We openly support the NDIS and look forward to a society where every Australian citizen is included in community life and shares the same human rights as everyone else regardless of gender, race, religion, ability or life preference.
Allevia acknowledges that everyone has unique needs and aspirations and we strive to tailor the support we provide with this clearly in mind.
