What we do

Allevia is now actively serving the community in the broader South Western Sydney region and beyond.
Person centred active support is Allevia's commitment in all our service delivery and in the design of services. You are the decision maker and designer of the support you need. Allevia is committed to supporting you to find and explore what is possible and overcoming any difficulties along the way.
Allevia's Living Services team will support you in your home whether that be a unit, townhouse, shared living or in the family home. Our aim is to provide support that does not detract from or dominate your home rather support your ownership and independence. You and your family will have confidence knowing Allevia has in-house health and behavioural specialist to guide our experienced staff if you have complex or high intensity support needs.
Allevia’s One Village team supports you individual or as part of a group of people who share interests. Allevia's programs of support such as our Teen Life Program are designed for individual choice and decision making. You select what activities you join and the level of support that makes you feel comfortable and safe. Centre based and or community based, you can be sure the activities will be engaging, thoughtfully planned to build on your life skills and most importantly, fun. In addition opportunities to self-select a favourite pastime are plentiful in our well equipped facility.
When a home of your own is an important aspiration, Allevia's Support Coordinators can assistance with eligibility for Special Disability Accommodation (SDA), finding an SDA property that suits you and finding co-residents if you prefer not to live on your own. They can support you to access all the services you are entitle, maximising your NDIS funding and ensuring at plan review you are informed and listened too.

New staff are mentored on the job by an experienced co-worker and directly supervised initially and then as need. Allevia's workforce is as culturally diverse as the communities in which we serve. This diversity is a huge benefit when looking to meet specific cultural needs. Staff training is ongoing with formal training needs constantly up-dated.
